Before the war, Gorazde municipality had 13,467 dwellings out of which 2,020 were socially owned apartments. Around 6,000 houses and 1,400 apartments damaged during the war.
Several rehabilitation projects are completed so the number of damaged buildings is lower. The Service for housing and property issues does not have accurate data. Currently, there are no ongoing reconstruction projects, but "Goal" organisation has plans for reconstruction of 50 houses on the territory of the municipality. Two collective centres still exist in the municipality.

| 10.3 Water | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Gorazde gets water from the river Drina, through a water purification plant in Vitkovici, located about four kilometres south of the city. The purification is mechanical, not chemical, so the water does not meet all health requirements. Before the war, this region was supplied with water from the source in Cicelj, which now belongs to the municipality Cajnice in RS. The city water supply system covers the whole city area, while in suburban areas there are local water supply systems. Water supply is regular, and reductions are very rare, caused mostly by electrical power failure. It should be stated that the existing network is in bad condition. "Help Hilfe Zur Selbsthilfe E.V. Sarajevo provides assistance in water supply network reconstruction.

| 10.4 Electricity | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The electrical power supply in Gorazde was re-established in September 1996, when the EU financed a project for the rehabilitation of the electrical network. The situation in the city and surroundings villages is satisfactory. Problems exist with the villages far away from the city. Some projects to resolve this problem are in preparation. Currently, 124 settlements have electrical supply and 13 do not have any. "Elektrodistribucija" Gorazde estimated that 3 140 000 DEM were necessary for the rehabilitation of the electrical supply network.

| 10.5 Sewerage and Sanitation | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The sewerage network covers only the city area. The network is in a very bad condition, due to the lack of maintenance. Wastewater is discharged untreated in the river Drina. Public Institution "6 Mart" does not have a special vehicle with suction pump, making the situation more difficult. Solid waste transportation is regular, but with difficulties due to the lack of machines and containers. Currently, the Lug dump is in function but it needs to be reconstructed. The pre-war dump Gajevi is now in the Republika Srpska and Gorazde municipality can not use it.

| 10.6 Roads | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Regional roads Ustipraca-Gorazde-Foca, and the road from Gorazde to Cajnice are asphalt ones, as well as several local roads. All other roads are macadam roads. The main road link between the Bosansko-Podrinjski Canton and the rest of the Federation BiH is in a very bad condition and may be considered as a macadam road. In addition, the road to Praca (Pale Federation) is very bad.
